In 2006 Tunisia's southern and western
That year, I decided to organize a raid 4x4 in southern Tunisia. Everyone agrees, Roland / Dany and Francisco / Ginette. We decide the date, again between October and March, it is normal we get a little heat. Another couple of friends joined us. We are in the boat to Tunis and the next evening, we are already at the gates of the desert near Ksar Khilane. First night of camping, magnum of champagne, sausage and basil pasta ... Looking forward to listening right? The next day we draw straight on Lake Er Ayn Ouidette reched. We strongly advise against the nomads to pass, but time is not counted, and we still decide to follow our path. A treat in the dunes, we mix pleasure and fun even if sometimes it's galley. We were not forced to go ay, we're here first for fun with friends and to take any chances. We spent 10 days in the dunes and got back in the Chott el Jerid, some wanted to know what salt lake and sand roses. We'll remember it was soft and muddy, not my thing, but there is for everyone. Then we headed to the mountain oases: Chebika, Tamerza and waterfalls, and canyons Midès. A Metlaoui, we took the little train called the lizard to see the red canyons of Selja, then we walk along the Algerian border to the Mediterranean. We visited the sites of Roman and Bella Sbeïtla Rugia and their beautiful mosaics and stayed at El Kef. At Tabarka we enjoyed the harbor shellfish dishes, squid and fish a feast for the tastebuds. Before returning the boat to Liverpool, we stopped at Sidi Bou Said to taste a mint tea with pine nuts. And that's still 15 days spent together with friends.
